Emergency Medical Responder

This course provides the knowledge and skills necessary for professional responders to act in an emergency to help sustain life, reduce pain, and minimize the consequences of injury or sudden illness and patient transportation. The program meets all the Canadian NOCP’s and Manitoba NOCP variances, and follows the Manitoba Shared Health Patient Care Maps. After completion of this course, students will be eligible to write their Canadian Organization of Paramedics (COPR) Entry to Practice Examination.
Audience: Professionals in emergency medical care who may be responsible for initial assessments, the provision of safe and prudent care, and the transport of a patient to the most appropriate healthcare facility.
Pre-requisite(s): Minimum 18-years of age, current Intermediate First Aid & Basic Life Support or equivilant
Course Length: 312 Hours
Certificate provided upon completion.
