Elite Safety Services is a health and safety company providing specialized services to clients throughout Western Canada.

Position Summary

A Rescue Technician is essential during project, shutdown and turnaround activities. Our staff shall provide industrial rescue and medical services, around-the-clock, during work activities across Western Canada.  A rescue technician plays an integral part in our client’s on-site health and safety.

Essential Duties

The successful applicant will be assigned to rescue teams and shall be responsible for:

• Administering advanced emergency medical care to sick and injured workers, including defibrillation.
• Performing Confined Space Rescue tasks.
• Performing High Angle Rescue tasks.
• Acting as a Standby Worker, Bottle Watch or Fire Watch when required, and when not in the capacity of a Rescue Technician.
• Completing applicable documentation while on-site.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of Standard First Aid and CPR “C” certification
• Willingness to complete additional training and certification provided by Elite Safety Services Inc. as required, including:
  • Site-specific orientations
  • Confined Space Technician and Technical Rescue training
  • Fire Watch and Bottle Watch training
  • Confined Space Entry and Standby Worker training

Conditions of Employment

• Must be 18 years of age or older and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Must be fluent in written and spoken English
• Completion of Grade 12, GED or Mature Student Diploma
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License, acceptable driving record and willingness to travel
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• Successful Drug and Alcohol Screening
